TOYÉ

Oluwatoyin Oladehinde, better known as Toyé, is a Nigerian-American singer/songwriter born in Atlanta, Georgia. He has always had a love for music, but his music career began in 2018 after an impromptu freestyle in the studio with some friends, leading him to release his first official singles “Shayo” and "Attitude" produced by Grammy Award Winning Ace Harris- with impressive production credits on Koffee’s Rapture, Lil Wayne’s Tha Carter V, Lecrae’s Rehab, Nicki Minaj’s Pink Print and many more —alongside Atlanta's underground producer and beatsmith, DJ Tag.

Although Toyé was born in Atlanta, he was raised in Nigeria, which he credits as the major influence to his afrobeats music style; a blend of Afrobeats, R&B, dancehall and Fuji elements, which is a sub-genre of Afrobeats music known as "Afrofusion". In 2019, his career began growing rapidly. Toyé had the opportunity of opening and touring with the likes of fellow Nigerian artists Burna Boy, Mr. Eazi, Davido, and Olamide. This led him to headlining and selling out his first show in Atlanta. He dropped a remix/cover of Swae Lee and Drake’s “Won’t Be Late” titled “Don’t Be Late” which was praised by Davido, Rotimi, and Jidenna. Janelle Monáe also felt he was a good fit and put him on a remix with her artist duo St. Beauty. With approval from acclaimed artists such as Davido, Reekado Banks, Koffee, Rcity and many more.
